Although this wine starts off a bit stern in texture, by the long finish those tannins have turned velvety and plush, nicely framing intense black olive, espresso, cherry and plum flavors.

Pliant raspberry and candied cherry flavors pick up spiciness in the mid-palate, along with a hint of minerals. Bright and lively on the persistent finish, which is given shape by velvety tannins.

Deep, glass-staining ruby. Fresh raspberry and cherry on the highly fragrant nose. Lively, penetrating yet supple red fruit and floral pastille flavors pick up a smoky quality on the back half. Shows good clarity and vivacity on the finish, with the raspberry note carrying through.
