Le millésime

La Vallée du Rhône Nord, certainement la zone qui a le mieux réussi en 2013.
Certaines cuvées présentent une remarquable concentration, notamment sur les grands terroirs, où la vieille vigne a pu jouer pleinement son rôle régulateur. Ces cuvées ont une dimension de grand millésime… les rendements, très faibles, sont une des clés majeures de cette réussite.

The marsanne vines for this wine are 100 years old; the roussanne vines are 40. While it’s barrel-fermented without added yeasts and aged in a mix of new and old barrels, wood takes a back seat to the mineral notes that emerge with air, salty, firm and savory. Those flavors last with a diamond-like clarity, providing a substantial base for the details that will come with another six to ten years in the cellar.
