Spotting promising Cuvées in the greatest Terroirs is probably one of the most exci-ting facets of our job. Wines coming for the most part from the superlative Lieu-Dit “Lancement”. Light in Style… Laces… Refinement … The Cuvée is carried by magnificent bacon, smoky scents.
The vintage

Like 1991 coming after 1990, this Great Vintage - as this is a Great
Vintage - may go somewhat unnoticed, after the celebrated 2015,
and in the shade of its dazzling southern cousin...
A certain heterogeneity amongst Red Wines, a gorgeous aromatic definition in the white Wines. All Northern wines will not necessarily be successful this year. The harvest was generous. Sometimes even a little too generous. The quality of some cuvées undeniably suffered, on some sectors. However, and as always, the “reasonable and serious” Vignerons produced superbly colorful, stylish, and mineral Wines, which ranks this 2016 Vintage in the elite of the successful Vintages. with full, juicy, and silkiest Wines !

La Côte Rôtie offre des notes de fusain et de poivre. Elle est marqué par la vendange entière, la trame de bouche garde une fraîcheur incroyable.

La Revue du Vin de France , 17,5/20

Mid purplish crimson. Very heady cocktail of blossom and warm stones on the nose. The tannins have been beautifully worked. This is a real charmer with delicacy and finesse. You want to drink this straight away! Supple and transparent with lightly sandy tannins. Evidence of such a gentle hand… Entrancing.

Tightly wound, with a solid core of dark currant, raspberry and blackberry reduction notes, laced with sweet tobacco, singed mesquite and sanguine details. Shows piercing focus on the finish, with serious length as the mineral edge lingers. Best from 2021 through 2035

Wine Spectator , 94/100 , 2019-03-27

Bright purple. A highly expressive, spice-accented bouquet evokes fresh black raspberry, blueberry, candied flowers, incense and Indian spices. Palate- staining red end blue fruit compote flavors are complicated by hints of cracked pepper and violet pastille, and a black cardamom nuance gains strength in the glass. Discreet, pliant tannins add gentle grip to a very long, incisive finish that strongly echoes the floral and mineral notes.
