The vintage

Northern Rhone Valley is the localisation which succeeded best in 2013. Some cuvées offer a remarkable concentration, especially in the grands terroirs, where the old vine was able to fully play its role of regulation. These cuvées have the dimension of a great vintage… the yields, very low, are one of the major keys to this success.

A refreshing style of Condrieu with some apricot-skin character and not massive opulence. Carefully crafted, a very precise wine with a slightly salty finish and relatively low acidity but very pure and transparent. Not especially long though.

Lush and aromatic with rich vanilla and smooth, elegant style; creamy and exotic with lovely Viognier flavors and floral notes; graceful and beautiful.

A fresh and enticing style, with white peach, plantain, green almond, pear eau-de-vie and star fruit notes, all tightly layered. Picks up a plump, lightly toasty edge.

Light, green-tinged yellow. Intense, mineral-tinged citrus and orchard fruits on the highly perfumed nose. Juicy and expansive, with ripe Anjou pear, nectarine and Meyer lemon flavors fleshing out with air. Rich and concentrated yet lively too, finishing with outstanding clarity and length and a building floral note.

Lastly, and one serious Condrieu, Michel Tardieu’s 2013 knocks it out of the park with its focused, pure, elegant, yet richly textured style. Exhibiting lots of buttered citrus, lychee, white flowers and striking minerality, it has full-bodied richness, perfect balance and a chiseled, crystalline like feel on the palate.

Réussite magistrale du complexe millésime 2013.

Guide Bettane et Desseauve des vins de France , 16/20 , 2015-08-20

This wine boasts a vibrant nose of apricot, honeysuckle and tropical fruit notes resembling mango, lychee and banana. Those layers of fruit persist on the palate, which also features some slightly drying tannins. This is one Condrieu that demands food to show its best.
